AtlantiCare Mainland 1 Meadow Renovation

AtlantiCare completed a multi-phased renovation of the first floor of the Meadows Building Med/Surg Unit due to inefficient use of the existing circulation and increased storage needs.

The project consisted of new satellite and main nurse stations and finishes in the circulation space; reconfiguration of the multipurpose room, staff lounge, and lockers; offices; and a new equipment room, central meds room, and nourishment area behind the main nurse’s station. Reconfiguration of the satellite nurse’s stations and soiled utility and soiled holding rooms created additional storage space on all three wings of the department. Finish renovation of two existing patient shower rooms, clean storage, soiled holding alcoves, clean linen alcoves, and equipment alcoves were also included.

This project required stringent ICRA requirements and phased coordination with state regulatory entities to allow the hospital to open the unit in phases.
