BPG Properties, Ltd.: Melrose Hotel New York

The Melrose Hotel Company is a hotel management company which exclusively manages BPG Properties, Ltd., investment properties. The Melrose Hotel Company acquired the famous Barbizon Hotel in 2000. The 22-floor Melrose Hotel New York, located in the exclusive Upper East Side of Manhattan, offers 306 luxury guest rooms, a fitness center and dining facilities. The Melrose Hotel Company elected to upgrade and expand the fire sprinkler system to a full coverage system that exceeded the local building code requirements at the time. The hotel replaced the finishes within the guestroom corridors while the fire protection improvements were being completed. A second phase completed an upgrade and modernization of the hotel elevators.

This project required Aegis to manage a phased construction schedule that allowed the hotel to operate at a reduced capacity while improvements were being implemented.
