The DuPont Country Club started as an added benefit for DuPont Company employees nearly 100 years ago and has evolved into one of the highest caliber clubs with several expansions and restorations throughout the years. Nestled in the historic Brandywine Valley, it consists of three golf courses (DuPont, Nemours, and Montchanin) and a main club house, plus additional golf, tennis, fitness, and dining amenities.
Rockland Sports, LLC purchased the DuPont Country Club from the DuPont Company in 2018. Core to its acquisition strategy, Rockland intends to transform, over a period of years, from a traditional country club to a modern lifestyle center, significantly increasing membership to levels seen 10-15 years ago.
The first phase of the project was delivered over a two year period.
Phase 1A – reconfiguration of the Montchanin Course to accommodate a short game practice course, putting green, driving range, and constructing an indoor golf training facility. Phase 1A also included the addition and replacement of several tennis courts to allow space for the Phase 1B construction. Phase 1B provides a new 19,000 s.f. fitness center along with a 25 meter swimming pool with a diving well and a children’s splash pool.
