Formerly known as Kunkel Hall, the new Simon Center for Economics and Business was transformed from a biology building into the new home for the Department of Economics and Policy Studies Program.
The building has a central stair, a tall glass foyer, abundant natural light, and improved accessibility.
Dynamic academic spaces include eight smart classrooms, a Data Lab, a lab with 12 Bloomberg terminals to monitor real-time financial data, and a 54-seat lecture hall.
The Simon Center offers lighted alcoves with quiet sitting areas as well as collaborative spaces in the center core with easy access to the 30 faculty offices located on the perimeter of the floors. Meeting spaces are located throughout.
The project is certified LEED Silver.
