St. Charles Borromeo Seminary: Campus Relocation

Aegis managed the relocation of  St. Charles Borromeo Seminary from its Wynnewood, PA, campus where it operated from for 153 years to its new home in Lower Gwynedd Township, PA, on 15-acres of land it purchased from Gwynedd Mercy University.

 

The new campus includes a residence hall and Student Life Center that serves as the heart of the campus.

 

The Student Life Center contains the new Immaculate Conception Chapel with tall stained glass windows, library, administrative and faculty offices, conference center, classrooms, multi-purpose auditorium that can accommodate 150 people, refectory (dining hall for 220 people), and kitchen/servery.
.

In addition to a wing for college seminarians and a wing for resident faculty and administrative priests, the residence hall also has student and priest lounges, a fitness center, and a 75 person chapel.

 

The project won an Associated Builders and Contractors of Eastern Pennsylvania 2024 Excellence in Construction, Merit Award for Best Institutional Project over $10 million.
