Virtua Health Our Lady of Lourdes Care Optimization Project

The Care Optimization project at Our Lady of Lourdes will be a transformational renovation and expansion to meet the evolving needs of the community and establish a center of excellence for advanced clinical care and position Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital as a regional destination for high-acuity cardiovascular, neuroscience, and transplant services.

With this project, Virtua will create new, modernized spaces, equipping the facility with the best technology, and making the campus more accessible through expanded parking and a new, welcoming main lobby. It also prioritizes the guest experience by making all patient rooms private.

Highlights of the project include Integrated Interventional Platform which collocates EP, cath, IR, endoscopy, and the OR; the addition of 78 med/surg beds; and a new CUP to support patient tower and back feeds to support existing infrastructure.

Campus improvements began in March 2023 with renovated parking lots. The entire project – including a new tower – will take approximately six years to complete.
