Virtua Health: Voorhees Health and Wellness Center

Virtua Health developed a new health campus on a 125 acre site in Voorhees, NJ. The campus includes a new hospital and a comprehensive ambulatory center designed to handle a growing number of patients and accommodate future technologies. The new 660,000 s.f., 376 bed hospital, which opened in May 2011, includes a woman’s and children’s pavilion and an adult medical and surgical pavilion.

Virtua entered into a partnership with Frauenshuh Healthcare Real Estate Solutions for the development of the 300,000 s.f. Health and Wellness Center and is the main tenant in the building taking over 200,000 s.f. of space. This multi-phased project includes: Summit Surgical Center, Virtua Fox Chase Cancer and Radiation Oncology Programs, Virtua Joint Replacement Institute, and Virtua Medical Group (VMG) programs.

The project team includes Hammel Green and Abrahams (HGA) providing architecture and engineering services, KJWW medical equipment planning, and Gilbane as construction manager.
